The highest price someone paid on eBay for a VINTAGE Optimus Prime was $1,025 with free shipping. It was listed as a Buy It Now BUT it was in MINT unopened condition. You can get about $35 to $80 for a “crappy” but complete set. If you have ALL the parts included and the stickers are on the sticker sheets, you can get anywhere from the low to mid $100s to $200, cause you have the packaging included (the styrofoam). Most of the higher priced ones were at $200- $700, but again, they were Mint in the boxes and unused or they were opened, but never used or played with. It seems that now is the time to take advantage of the growing popularity and re-born collectors since the new movie trailers. ANYONE who loved Transformers as kids wil want one!!! Especially if their Mom’s tossed out their figures in the trash!!! I believe that you can get pretty good money for the figures as separates. But, if you are not sure and want to test out the waters, list all the boxes or items together and put a reserve price, so you don’t end up losing your valuables at a chump price. It has happened to me!!! The best time to begin an auciton is on a Tuesday or Wednesday. Usually by the weekend, including Fridays and Mondays, people are too busy to surf as they are out and about.
